Day 9 of 35: Taking it easy

Today was a free day on our tour schedule, & most folks did exciting island tours or beach visits.

We needed the day to recover from the heat prostation, which hit us hard yesterday. We found some Gatorade, napped, & ate. By evening we were recovered enough to venture out for dinner, & pack for our day of travel tomorrow. The food & electrolyte drinks helped a lot.

Later in the day we enjoyed the beautiful ‘golden hour’ sun on the hills, & all the plantings. So many flowers here are similar to what grows in Northern California: Oleander, hydrangea, bougainvillea, wisteria, grapes, roses, lantana (so many colors), agapanthus…..

Tomorrow, off to Split!
