Days 25-30 of 35: Sick at Sea

The congestion I had in Lisbon developed into a sinus infection, which was followed by a UTI (my first). I was pretty ill with most of my energy going to fight the infection. I had some meds with me & got others from the ship’s doctor, so by the end of these few days was mostly recovered. Bill also felt a bit ill so we had a few low-energy days to enjoy each other, the ship, & the beautiful Mediterranean waters.

We battled a bit of depression just because of being sick but mostly made the best of it. There are certainly worse places to be stuck or to be sick. Later we heard that back home folks at Fountaingrove were enduring 110-degree heat & a Covid outbreak, so overall we were content with the hand we were dealt.
